Medical Technologist Cytogenetics

Medical Technologist Cytogenetics sought by University Medical Center, Inc. d/b/a UofL Health - UofL Hospital, in Louisville, KY, to be responsible for the following: Analyze patient samples; maintain equipment & perform & record quality control procedures to ensure accuracy of test results; process laboratory specimens; prepare & identify samples for laboratory testing; monitor the recording & reporting of test results including reporting critical results; report patient results in the Electronic Health Record (EHR); perform fluorescence in situ hybridization testing; identify & report safety hazards or concerns; & comply with HIPAA privacy & security requirements to maintain confidentiality at all times. Requirements: Bachelor's or foreign equivalent degree in Medical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or a related field.
