Medical Technologist I

Medical Technologist I (multiple positions) sought by UofL Health - Louisville, Inc. d/b/a UofL Health - Mary & Elizabeth Hospital, in Louisville, KY, to be responsible for the following: follow the laboratory's procedures for specimen handling, acceptability, processing, test analyses, reporting & maintaining records of patient test results according to departmental SOPs; follow department's procedure in reporting STATS or critical results to providers; monitor, operate & troubleshoot instrumentation to ensure proper functionality; document all corrective actions taken when test systems deviate from the laboratory's established performance specifications; adhere to the laboratory's quality control policies, document all quality control activities, instrument & procedural calibrations and all maintenance performed; ensure reagents/test kits have received dates, expiration dates, & if applicable opened dates; maintain records that demonstrate that proficiency testing samples are tested in the same manner as patient specimens. Requirements: Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Medical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or a related field.
