Medical Technologist - Lead

Medical Technologist - Lead sought by University Medical Center, Inc. d/b/a UofL Health - UofL Hospital, in Louisville, KY, to be responsible for the following: Submit feedback to the Laboratory Supervisor for evaluations conducted; recommend and implement improvements necessary to achieve operational goals and to improve patient outcomes; monitor quality control and proficiency testing for department; ensure that accreditation standards are met for department in accordance with CAP, JCAHO, CLIA, AABB, FDA, OSHA; evaluate new technologies for the section in conjunction with the Medical Director of the department; assist in the orientation of new department employees; and meet regularly with Laboratory Supervisor and section Medical Director and seek involvement regarding capital purchases, operational, and technical issues. Requirements: Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Medical Technology, Microbiology, or a related field, plus 2 years of experience as a Medical Technologist, Medical Laboratory Scientist, or related occupation. In the alternative, a Master's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Medical Technology, Microbiology, or a relate field.
