Production Planning Supervisor

Production Planning Supervisor sought by Nucor Steel Gallatin, LLC - Ghent, KY location. Candidate must have a Bach's or foreign equiv deg in Industrial Engg & 5 yrs of exp in supply chain mgmt w/in the steel mfg industry. Exp must incl: Oversight of process improvement projects (working capital, cost, modeling & throughput optimization) & tech'l trainings in a complex industrial system w/ multiple product platforms, geographic locations, & supply options in the steelmaking industry. Application of metal & alloy materials & technology to drive continuous improvement in terms of non-desired production & yield. Implmtn of flat steel scheduling models to optimize operations by maximizing product from steel mill to finished product. Mgmt of forecast & model dvlpmt & implmtn to achieve shorter & competitive production lead times. Supply chain production planning & scheduling for flat products, incl Melt Shops, high end service centers incl oversight of logistic & execution function.
